FAQs
The Button Huggie is currently not covered by insurance but the Ezalife team is working towards reimbursement and HSA/FSA coverage.
Yes. Button Huggies are designed with soft, skin-friendly material that’s gentle enough for infant skin while still providing a secure fit.
Each base is intended to last anywhere between 4-8 days, depending on how often you bathe your child, and other factors.
Make sure that the Button Huggie is applied to skin that is clean and completely dry. Applying the Button Huggie after a bath or when the child/patient is sweaty will likely result in the adhesive failing early.
If you find that the adhesive still isn't lasting long, you may want to try using a skin-prep, such as Cavilon skin barrier.
Avoid touching the underside of the adhesive when applying the Button Huggie. We know this one can be tricky, but oils from your hand getting on the adhesive can cause it to lose stickiness faster. We recommend peeling the backing as shown in this video: https://youtu.be/TLoVvH4gxLQ
Button Huggies are made with breathable, latex-free materials and are designed to be gentle on skin. Many caregivers use them for individuals with skin sensitivities.
They are designed to help keep the tube secure during periods of rest, including nighttime feeds. This may help minimize movement and leakage while sleeping.
Unlike reusable wraps or belts, Button Huggies are lightweight, disposable, and easy to apply—without Velcro, straps, or adhesives. They’re designed to fit into daily routines while providing a comfortable, low-profile securement option.
Button Huggies are intended as a comfort and securement aid for G-buttons. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow the guidance of your healthcare provider for tube care and use.
